Set in the lush and idyllic backwaters of Southern India (Kerala), you'll play as an entrepreneur who's tasked with running and managing the local Toddy shop. Climb coconut trees to extract the sap needed to make Toddy, a delicious and refreshing alcoholic beverage that's a staple in local culture. Meet eccentric locals, immerse yourself in the local culture and manage your business wisely to risk fines or losing licence. Turn it into a cash cow or a quaint little hideaway. it's up to you!

About me
I'm the sole developer behind RuralBandit. Prior to this, I worked as an Animator/Illustrator in the advertising field, which has helped me develop the game's visuals.
Unable to find a job in my field after moving to the UK, I ended up working as an MHE operator in a car production plant. Prompted by a mix of homesickness, desire for a creative outlet, and frequent shutdowns at work, I turned to game dev.
Spirit of the Backwaters is the result of my passion for art, gaming and the love for my cultural roots in Southern India.
